SPEECHLESS
i have already confessed my love for chanel, what i haven't confessed is one of my favorite guilty pleasure - "the city." the show is just so ridiculous that i can't help but watch it. from olivia being a total bitch to kelly cutrone being, well, kelly cutrone, the show is just entertaining. after kelly my favorite character on the show would have to be joe zee (minus him letting olivia get away with murder). i love his office and his sense of style...slash...i want to be him.
for chanel's fall/winter 2010 ready to wear show was all about faux fur. we became instantly aware of this when karl opened with full faux-fur yeti suits:
well, joe from the city managed to get himself a suit and went on hilarious "wear-test" around nyc:
i can't even describe how amazing this is. joe zee sunning himself in the middle of central park wearing a chanel yeti suit?!?!?! joe zee wearing a chanel yeti suit asking how to get to the central park zoo? joe zee pushing through the crowd to find a starbucks to get a beverage to cool down with after a day in a chanel yeti suit? i could watch this video for days. what i could also do, well, what i would also love to do is try one of those damn things on myself! here is me and baptiste before a night out in chamonix:

MORE BACK TO SCHOOL SHOPPING
i'm envisioning some great layering with this equestrian print tank. and while i wait for the weather to cool down i can wear it as is. add to cart.
i own a lot of heather grey knits. new, vintage, french terry, fleece, birds eye, i got it. what i don't have is a one that's moved on with a shoulder button detail. so i will just go ahead and...add to cart.

PARIS-SHANGHAI...COLUMBUS
chanel's resort & pre-fall runway shows are two of my favorites of the year. the chanel team does an amazing job creating an experience that is second-to-none. the clothes, the location, the time, EVERYTHING comes together so beautifully to create the ultimate presentation. i can't help but to appreciate all of the behind the scenes work it must take.
the pre-fall 2010 collection, Paris-Shanghai, is my favorite of the "city" collections. karl did a stunning job of taking chanel's signature look and twisting it with china's heritage and history.
i'm usually not one for huge logos or obvious branding; however, i can't get enough of this military hat from the collection.
