VIVA LAS VEGAS

it has been a few days since an update but i've been busy with visiting what is now one of my favorite places on earth...las vegas!  i spent a long weekend in there as a late 25th birthday presents from my parents.  it was amazing and i'm already trying to find when i can go back, do you want to go with me?!

the beautiful bellagio

the paris casino and part of city center

part of the massive caesar's palace

the stratosphere

i'm back in paris!

inside our hotel, the venetian...just missing the pigeons.

shopping in vegas is a big deal with the casinos hoping to entice people to come in (and thus gamble) with amazing shops.  the palazzo/venetian were separated by the shops at the palazzo which barneys, my favorite department store in the usa, calls home.

i was good and only bought a pair of black jeans!  (well, there dries selection was pitiful so i couldn't buy what i wanted...why can't you buy dries online?!)

jumping photos in the hall with my new dries van noten scarf my father picked up for me at lane crawford in hong kong.  love.

dos caminos for lunch.  poor service, delicious food (which was obviously free because one should never accept poor service at restaurant).

it was absolutely gorgeous inside and i was completely obsessed with these day of the dead-esque skulls that covered the wall.  i want these in my house immediately, though not in my bedroom because it may or may not creep me out in the middle of the night.

the wynn was the most visually appealing of the numerous casinos that we went into.  the mosaics on the floor were stunning.  as was the shopping - chanel, alexander mcqueen, dior, etc.

the world's best oatmeal at thomas keller's bouchon at the venetian.

jackpots.

the new city center mall was stunning.  i was able to visit a tom ford store for the first time which was, unsurprisingly, pleasing to all the senses.  i had to get out of there quick before i bought everything in the store.  i wanted all of it.

the shops at caesar's palace.  also great shopping with louis vuitton, burberry, dolce & gabbana, marc jacobs, and on and on and on stores.

spiral escalators?!?!?!

bobby flay's mesa grill.  las vegas has really turned itself into quite the foodie town and every meal we had was delicious.  this dinner at mesa grill was hands down the best meal in vegas.

i could eat my weight (which would be about a million) in fried squash blossoms.

the best pork i have ever had in my entire life.  i couldn't talk for about five minutes after trying it.

i'm ready to go back tomorrow.  though, i am saying this having lost only $50 the entire weekend, had i lost more i'm not sure if i would have had such an amazing time...
